SATURDAY ARRIVALS ONLY - The Harmony Hotel Sonnschein is situated approximately 300 metres from the centre of Niederau and 350 metres from the main gondola station, Markbachjoch. The free ski bus which offers a regular service to Oberau and Affach stops approximately 300 metres from the Sonnschein Hotel.

This spacious family-run hotel has a total of 142 guestrooms and some excellent après ski leisure facilities including a swimming pool, sauna and steam bath. The in house ski hire shop is recommended as it opens late on a Saturday (arrival day) allowing you to organize all your equipment ready for the next day. Guests hiring equipment from the hotels ski shop can also store all their stuff for free at the valley lift station.

Niederau and Oberau are set within the Wildschonau valley, meaning 'wild' and 'beautiful', and close to the Kitzbühel ski area. The area is unspoilt and offers a relaxed pace of life. A variety of ski levels are catered for and the villages are particularly popular with families although there is still quite a lively apres-ski scene. In the area you can also enjoy winter hiking, snowshoeing, Nordic winter walking, torchlight processions, snowrafting, cross-country skiing and paragliding.

There are numerous leisure facilities onsite for relaxing your tired muscles after a long day on the slopes whilst children’s movies are shown in the evenings from Monday to Friday.

The hotel has an indoor swimming pool. The sauna and steam bath are also available free for hotel guests and the solarium and whirlpool can be used for a small charge payable locally. Massages can also be arranged with a supplement.
