Overview

The hotel was established in 1876 and has a total of 152 rooms spread over 7 floors. Facilities on offer include the traditional Café Sacher, a restaurant and a bar. There are lifts to guests' rooms.

Location

This world-famous luxury hotel is situated in a privileged location opposite the State Opera and the Kärntner Street and is about two minutes on foot from underground station Karlsplatz. The Hofburg imperial apartments, the Spanish Riding School and the famous Ringstrasse are all also within easy walking distance. The hotel is a favourite meeting point for Viennese high society, artists and politicians.

Rooms

All of the rooms display a harmonic unity of tradition and contemporary comfort and feature an en suite bathroom with hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers. Further facilities include a direct dial telephone, an Internet connection, satellite/ cable TV. All rooms have a minibar and a hire safe in addition to adjustable air conditioning.

Meals

Following extensive renovation work the Anna Sacher restaurant is now radiant in bright green pleasantly offset by black furniture with golden highlights. This interior contrasts starkly with the straight, unpretentious line taken by Sacher's chef de cuisine Werner Pichlmaier in his contemporary, light interpretation of traditional Austrian cuisine. The restaurant Rote Bar with live background piano music, winter garden and direct view to the state opera, became the living room of the acteurs of the Viennese culture scene. In the Sacher Eck the dynamic young scene of Vienna meets for fine culinaric creations or a noble glass of Austrian wine.
