Bruges activities:
- For fun, excitement and romance, take a balloon flight over Bruges.
- As the city is rather small, the best way to discover Bruges is by foot. Explore the city monuments at your own pace or take a guided tour.
- The canals are like the city's arteries. Cruise the canals by boat and discover the pictureque bridges. The main pick-up points are from the Belfry Tower, near the Church of Our Lady and City Hall.
- Take a tour of the city from the Market square by horse-drawn cab.
- Ride a bike around the streets of Bruges. With cyclists given priority two-way lanes over cars one-way restrictions on many roads, riding a bike through the city is very safe. Plus, many hotelliers loan bikes out to their guests.
Bruges nightlife:
- Eat at one of many superb restaurants in the city. Bruges has no less than seven Michelin starred restaurants to chose from.
- Head to one of the posh restaurants near the fish market. There, you are given your own beer waiter and you get to sample a difference beer with each course!
- End the day with a beer in the taverns located near the Cathedral.
Bruges shopping:
- The main shopping streets are situated between Markt square and the old city gates.
- Bruge is a Chocolate lovers paradise, there are loads of chocolate shops selling every type of chocolate you can think of.
- The market is open in Market square on Wednesday mornings with the Fish market open daily between Tuesday and Saturday.
- The larger stores are concentrated on Steenstraat, while Noordzandstraat features numerous boutique outlets.
