Dating back to the founding of Brussels, this hotel takes its place on the Merchant's Route which cuts through Brussels and links Flanders with the Rhineland. This street, which at first was not very wide, was originally flanked by numerous inns. At the end of the 17th century, the street was widened to accommodate traffic. Brussels Airport (BRU) is 35 km from the hotel.
