The Island Inn Hotel was originally constructed in 1804, as part of the historic Garrison Area of Barbados and was originally the Rum Store for the British Regiment. It is now possibly one of the smallest all inclusive property in the world. The quaint property is two minutes from a beautiful white-sand beach of Carlisle Bay and less than a mile from the capital city, Bridgetown. Just a short stroll away, guests can find banks, shops, nightlife, the Barbados Museum, and the Garrison Savannah. With effect from December 1st 2006, the Barbados airport departure tax will increase to 55.00 Bajan dollars for persons of 12 years and over who have been in Barbados more than 24 hours.
