The west coast beaches of St Peters have delicate white sand, with little surf and smooth waters, perfect for swimming or sunbathing to top up that tan.

St Peter is home to Farley Hill, a national park, including the ruins of a plantation house and it also offers some fantastic views.

Other cultural experiences can be discovered in St Peter; take a trip to St Nicholas Abbey in Cherry Tree Hill which is one of the island's oldest remaining great house and one of the best-preserved examples of Caribbean architecture.

Golfers can enjoy an experience at Almond Beach Village 9 hole golf course, but for some more challenging and exciting golf courses take a trip south to St James Parish at Sandy Lane or Westmore Golf Club.

St Peter Nightlife

Nightlife in St Peter is relatively low key and subdued compared to other areas on the island, but offers the perfect opportunity to enjoy the tranquillity and being located away from the areas of mass tourism.

Looking for a romantic fine dining experience, look no further than La Mer in Port St Charles where you can dine on fresh fish with the scenic views surrounding you.

If you’re looking for buzzing and lively nightlife then take a trip to the nearby areas of St Lawrences Gap or St James where you can discover nightclubs and dance all night long.

Other attractions in St Peter

If you have the time on your holiday, Barbados is well connected to Caribbean islands by reasonably priced flights. Take a day tour to St Lucia which is only a 40 minute flight away.

Just to the north of St Peter is the Animal Flower Forest where there are some magnificent tidal pools and sea caves which are home to all kinds of sea life.
