When is the best time to go?

The weather in Barbados, like most places in the Caribbean, doesn't vary much from season to season. The average annual temperature is 75 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Although the climate is warm whatever time of year you visit, it is often advised to avoid the hurricane season which is from June to November. The best time to go to avoid these hurricanes is from December to June when rainfall is at its lowest.

The winds on the east coast of the island of Barbados can be very strong and it is sometimes advised not to swim in the sea. So rather than spending the day on the beach, discover the other attractions the island has to offer. Enjoy a family day out to one of the sugar cane plantations or experience one of St Philips most famous attractions – Kendal sporting range. At the sporting range you can shoot clay pigeons, the range also have a firing range for handguns and offer archery and paint balling.

How much is a meal going to cost me?

Meals at fast food restaurants and street stands cost approximately $5-8 per person. Dining at a mid-priced restaurant that features both Bajan specialties as well as international cuisine will cost approximately $10-25 per person.   • Barbados’ water supply is extremely clean and safe to drink as it’s filtered by coral and captured in underground aquifers. Make sure you drink plenty of water so you don’t become dehydrated after spending a day in the sunshine.
