Overview
Built in 2003, this hotel comprises a 3-storey building with a total of 225 double rooms. Guests are welcomed in the lobby with a reception desk, a souvenir shop, a chemist and a hairdressing salon. In addition, the hotel represents a nostalgic old fishing town and offers 5 bars, a pizzeria and 2 à la carte restaurants: the main restaurant Coral, with La Galeta terrace bar facing the sea and Calita (reservation required). Room and laundry services as well as a kids' club round off the amenities. Garage and outdoor parking facilities are available.
Location
This attractive hotel is surrounded by palm trees and located in the leisure district of Boca Chica, right by the beach, which is protected by a coral reef. The centre, with its many bars, shops, restaurants and entertainment venues, is only a couple of minutes away. This hotel is located around 15 km from Santo Domingo airport and around 30 minutes from Santo Domingo town. The transfer to Punta Cana Airport takes about 3.5 hours.
Rooms
The tastefully decorated rooms come with a bathroom with shower, a hairdryer, a direct dial telephone and satellite/cable TV. Other amenities include a minibar, air conditioning, a hire safe and a balcony or a terrace with a partial view of the sea.
Sport
There are 2 swimming pools with a separate children's pool in the grounds as well as a poolside snack bar, sun loungers and parasols. Guests may make use of the sauna to help them unwind. Sports enthusiasts will find a diverse range of activities available for a fee, including banana boating, taster diving in the pool as well as a PADI diving school, windsurfing, sailing, water skiing and pedal boating. Other activities available for a fee include tennis (with flood-lighting), aerobics, a gym, horse riding and cycling/mountain biking. The nearest golf course is approx. 20 km away. There is also an entertainment programme with diverse shows during the day and in the evenings.
Meals
Guests may select their breakfast as well as lunch and evening meal from a buffet. It is also possible to take evening meals à la carte.
