The Celuisma Playa Dorada Hotel overlooks the golden sands of Playa Dorada Beach and is surrounded by wonderful tropical gardens. Nearby golfers will find the Robert Trent Jones golf course and for shoppers downtown Puerto Plata is approximately 3 miles away. There are casinos, some excellent shopping and an exciting nightlife scene in the area. The windsurfing on this area of coastline is also the best on the island.

Swimming pools

The hotel has a one large outdoor swimming pool with a waterfall and a small pool for children. There are plenty of free loungers at the beach and by the pool and also complimentary beach and pool towels.

Please beware that visitors to the Dominican Republic will need to be in possession of a passport that is valid for at least 6 months AFTER their return date to their country of origin.

Eating and drinking

The hotel operates an All Inclusive programme which includes breakfast from 7am to 10am, lunch between 12.30pm and 2.30pm and dinner from 6.30pm to 9.30pm, all buffet style, served in the main restaurant. During meals a variety of local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks is offered. AI guests can also enjoy the Club Playa on the beach for light lunch between midday and 5pm as well as the a la carte restaurants for dinner four times weekly between 6.30pm and 10pm with prior reservation (A la carte restaurants include Juanitos for Mexican cuisine, Valentinos for pasta and the Caribbean Grill for local cuisine). Snacks are available between midday and 5pm at the Club Playa on the beach. Locally produced alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks like whiskey, brandy, soft drinks, mineral water, juices, coffee, etc are served at various outlets in the hotel from 10am to midnight (at the Club Playa between 10am and 5pm, the Cafe Francais between 6pm and midnight, the La Casita from 10am to 6pm and at the Gazebo bar between 10am and midnight).
