This resort is divided into 3 sections and is made up of several villas and buildings designed in typical colonial style. The hotel is surrounded by gardens and guests can use all facilities in the complex. Dominican cuisine is a blend of Spanish and African and includes fresh fish, meat and fruit.

Please beware that visitors to the Dominican Republic will need to be in possession of a passport that is valid for at least 6 months AFTER their return date to their country of origin.

Overview

The IFA Villas Bavaro Resort and Spa is in Bavaro Beach, a 2 mile stretch of fine white sand and 2 miles from the centre of Bavaro. The coral reef protects the beach and almost forms a natural swimming pool. The beach is thought of as one of the top ten in the world and is edged with palms, has clear water and fine sand. The hotels 652 rooms have ocean, garden or pool views. There are three swimming pools available to use as well as catamaran sailing and padi diving (with extra charge).

This resort will appeal to couples and families looking for nice accommodation and varied facilities for a relaxed or active beach based holiday in the Dominican Republic.

The hotel has 3 swimming pools with a section for children.

Eating and drinking

The hotel has 2 buffet style restaurants, 5 thematic restaurants including Mexican, gourmet, italian, pizzeria, creperie, plus oriental and 8 bars. The pool has a swim up bar as well as one poolside and a lobby bar. Each pool has its own bar and there is the Dominican cafe and a beach bar between the others.

ALL INCLUSIVE

MEALS: Buffet style breakfast between 7.00 - 10.30, lunch between 12.00 - 15.00 and dinner between 18.30 - 22.00. Snacks are also available througout the day inbetween meal times and later in the evenings.

BEVERAGES: A wide variety of national drinks and cocktails are available.

ENTERTAINMENT: A disco open between 23.00 - 4.00, including entrance and local drinks plus activities during the day and evening including spectacular shows.

SPORTS AND LEISURE: Fresh towels and lounge chairs are provided at the pool and beach. Use of the gym, watersports such as; catamaran, snorkelling, windsurfing, pedal boats and kayak sunfish-sailing. Other sports on offer include; badminton, table tennis and beach volleyball. There is also a mini club for children aged 4 - 12 years.
