Hotel Location
Although a relatively small town, Negril is one of the most widely dispersed beach resorts in Jamaica, spread across the parts of two Jamaican parishes of Westmoreland and Hanover. It is widely known as having one of the top ten beaches in the world, with some of the finest along the western coastline including one of the most popular, dubbed by tourists as the “7-Mile Beach”.
Much of the vendors and bars in the town can be found at the south end of the beach near where the quieter resorts are located and it is south of downtown Negril where you can find West End Road, known as the cliff area, a popular spot for snorkelling, scuba diving and featuring some excellent jumping points.
One of the major attractions of Negril is its huge protected Marine Park that was declared in 1998 where you can see all sorts of rare and exotic coral and marine life, along with also being one of the best spots on the island for scuba diving and snorkelling. There are also more historic attractions such as the Negril Lighthouse, located on the western tip of Negril where some of the most picturesque scenery can be found.
