Overview

Sandals Halcyon Beach in Saint Lucia has been described as the most quintessentially Caribbean of all the hotels in the esteemed Sandals group of luxury beach resorts. Composed of low buildings, built in a traditional Caribbean style, that seamlessly blend in with the surroundings of lush greenery and tall palms, this beautiful hotel will charm and delight you. Strolling through the stunningly designed gardens, replete with hand-painted porticos, rustic stone walls, archways, countless species of hibiscus flowers and brilliant birds of paradise, you will be filled with a sense of wonder and bliss.

Every room in this resort is lavishly furnished and decorated with exquisite taste, coming complete with a king-size, four-poster mahogany bed. Each room also features a private balcony or patio offering gorgeous views of the grounds and gardens for which the resort is famed. Those who choose to stay in the exclusive Romeo & Juliet suite can also enjoy the Sandals personal Butler Service, where a fully-trained butler will be on hand to take care of your every whim and desire throughout your stay.

When not simply enjoying the elegance and beauty of the gardens and grounds, guests can try their hand at water sports, play a round or two of golf at the nearby Sandals La Toc Golf Resort & Spa, or take advantage of the scuba diving program which is complementary to qualified divers (an introductory course is available for beginners for a nominal additional fee). Various other sporting facilities are also available, including tennis courts, squash courts and a fully-equipped fitness centre. Or you could simply relax by the pool, or indulge in a range of spa treatments and massages at the on-site Red Lane Spa. In the evenings, there are four restaurants to choose from, and after dinner, a variety of nightly entertainment is on offer at the hotel's seven bars.

Swimming pools

There are three swimming pools at the resort, but our favourite is the lovely and secluded Lagoon Pool.

Eating and drinking

The resort has a choice of six restaurants, with a range of local and international dishes available. All of them offer great food, but the highlight is the Pier Restaurant. Built out over the water at the end of a 130-foot pier, there are panoramic views out over the ocean and a choice of wonderfully cooked seafood.

This hotel boasts two new restaurants, serving a delightful selection of Teppanyaki-style cuisine and mouth-waternig sushi. These Zen-inspired eateries will not only satisfy your taste buds, they'll also provide you with atmospheric evenings to remember - you can count on it!

Accommodation

All rooms include air conditioning, an in-room safe, stocked refrigerator, satellite TV, a private bath and shower and of course the Sandals trademark four-poster bed. Every room offers stunning views of the hotel grounds, and some have partial ocean views. Internet is available for a small additional fee.

Guests staying in the Honeymoon Hummingbird Luxury Seaside Rom receive Sandals Concierge Services. Alternatively, upgrade to a Butler Service room for the ultimate in pampering!
