When is the best time to go:

As is the case with many Caribbean islands, St. Lucia's visitors should expect hot and humid weather conditions year round. December to January is generally the coolest months, whilst the summer months of June through to August are the hottest. The hurricane season is generally during the same time as the rainy season, June through November. Visitors still visit and during these months and still have amazing sunshine.

The 100-year old Castries market is a must-see for visitors to the island, especially on a Saturday, where local vendors offer thousands varieties of island memorabilia, spices and foods, and local fishermen offer the daily catch.

The JQ Charles Shopping Mall offers a variety of delicious foods. If you’re looking for a burger to remind you of home, then international food chains such as KFC, Burger King and Subway can be found in this store.

How do I get around?

The main way for tourists to get around St. Lucia is by taxi. The tours arranged by resorts are usually the most expensive way to travel but might offer food and drink. Using a local taxi to plan your own adventure would be much more affordable.
