When is the best time to go:
Trinidad and Tobago mostly has great all year round temperatures. From January to May the islands experiences a dry season with mild temperatures without added precipitation and humidity. From May to December, the island experiences its wet season, with considerably more rainfall and cooler temperatures. Obviously the dry season is the most popular time to visit so the island will be pretty busy, people still visit in the wet season, but be aware that some tours and restaurants close. Carnival, a popular festival throughout the Caribbean, takes place in February and is full of music, dance, singing, and costumes.

Since their introduction in early 2005, the Tobago off-road jeep safari has become one of the favourite excursions on the island for those of you who seek a little adventure. The tours cover parts of the island that the normal visitor would never normally discover. Using dirt roads off the beaten track, the tours will take visitors through rivers and old plantations from the Caribbean coast into the heart of Tobago, stopping for a swim in the natural pool of a lovely waterfall.
How’s the shopping:
Shoppers will find all the essentials available within Crown Point itself, although if you’re looking for a large shopping mall, visit the Scarborough Mall, which is extremely popular and well worth a trip. The Scarborough Mall is open all week and is a good place to pick up gifts, such as leather sandals and bags, carved coconuts and shells, straw baskets, and various other locally made handicrafts.

Eating in Tobago is a rewarding experience. Crown Point is filled with restaurants, cafes and bars serving all foods for all tastes, you can find anything from fish, to burgers, to pizzas to local dishes. Cafe Coco is Tobago's largest restaurant and very popular with tourists. Also the Chart House Restaurant in the Crown Point Beach Hotel is popular, serving 'New world' cuisine, featuring foods from all the islands of the world in a casual atmosphere and provides entertainment most evenings.
