Overview

Appealing to all ages holidaying in Jersey, the Merton Hotel is considered to provide the best children facilities of any hotel in Jersey. No other Jersey hotel has leisure facilities that compare to the Merton Hotels Aquadome pool and leisure club. Inside, under the dome, it’s a subtropical 27 degrees centigrade with an exciting 80 metre water slide, lazy river, cascade fountains, spa pools as well as a sauna and steam room. Outside, there’s another pool with its own fountain and spa, plus a children’s play area - all supervised by our fully qualified lifeguards. The Merton Hotel also has it’s own kids club, catering for children between the ages of 4 to 12 years old and every night the hotel offers supervised activities and fun family events, including creating and staging a special children’s show in the Merton’s Star Room, arts and crafts and learning circus skills such as juggling. Plus, every child on holiday at the Merton Hotel who enrolls in the Kids Zone receives a special holiday activity back pack full of goodies for them to enjoy on their Jersey break. There are two crèches at the Merton Hotel available to children under 4 years of age including a creche facility in the Aquadome, for parents who would like the opportunity to enjoy a swim or undertake an exercise programme in the fitness centre. In the evening Georgie’s Creche, located adjacent to the Belvedere Restaurant, allows parents the opportunity to enjoy some time to themselves over dinner. The crèche is open every evening during the summer months and at weekends during the rest of the year. Both facilities are supervised by fully qualified staff and provide a safe and secure environment for children. During July and August the Merton Hotel has also created a special series of events which will appeal to older children’s tastes. The ’Activity 10 Teen’ club includes sports activities and special evening events. In addition, of course, they will be able to enjoy the thrills and spills of our fabulous new Flowrider attraction (allowing you to enjoy the thrills and spills of surfing or bodyboarding whether you are a complete beginner, intermediate or experienced surfer, snow or skate-boarder) in the Aquadome. The Games Zone at the Merton Hotel is full of the latest arcade games, as well as traditional family favourites such as pool tables and air hockey, providing hours of fun in a safe environment

This hotel will appeal to couples, families and friends looking for a good standard of accommodation with loads of things to do for all ages, although The Merton Hotel is particularly suited to holidays with children. Swimming pools

Guests can enjoy the amazing leisure club and Aquadome which includes a swimming pool with water slides, the UK’s first Flowrider standing wave, spa pools, a sauna and steam room as well as a fitness centre with the latest aerobic equipment and changing facilities.

Eating and drinking

The Merton has five different restaurants and three bars. The Belvedere is the hotels main restaurant where you can enjoy breakfast and a carvery buffet dinner of the highest standard.
