the centre of a bay, facing the Mediterranean Sea. Cadiz

overlooks the bay of Algeciras and is a good area for

Chiclana-Sancti Petri � Chiclana is adjacent to the salt
marshes and opposite is the small island of Sancti Petri
with a lighthouse and a magnificent 18th Century castle
which was built by the Phoenicians on the ruins of the
temple of Zeus. Also in the area is the Sancti Petri
Golf Course, reputed to have been designed by Seve
Ballesteros. The therapeutic properties of the water in
Chiclana is used to treatment numerous circulatory,
muscle and skin complaints.
BEACHES

Spanish coastline really does have it all � from large

The majority of Spanish stores are small family run
businesses although many more hypermarkets and
supermarkets have begun to appear in recent years. The
best products to buy in Spain are handmade items such as
ceramics, pottery, woodwork, embroidery and paintings.
Spanish leather goods are also good quality and good
value for money but not cheap.
NIGHTLIFE

Spain is well known for its nightlife scene although
they are late starters and dinner is not usually taken
much before 10pm with most people heading out after
midnight. Spanish nightlife has something for everyone,
from discos to pubs, to concerts, shows, to bars of all
kinds and outdoor caf�s. Most bars stay open until 3 or
4 in the morning and the majority of clubs go until dawn
or beyond.
