• An ancient relic dating back to 200BC, the recently restored Wolong Temple is a truly special piece of history.
• Blending Muslim and Chinese architectural styles, the Grand Mosque was the first to be built in China, and is a spectacular building that can seat a thousand worshippers at a time.
• The biggest city wall in the world is found in Xian, and it is a giant 13.7 kilometers long, sitting twelve meters above the ground. Hire a bike and cycle along its top for some great views along the way.
• To see some artifacts and ancient relics, head to the Shaanxi Historic Museum, where you will find some telling objects that span through the years the city has seen pass by.
• Outside the city, the Army of Terracotta Warriors and Horses is one of the most famed sites not only in the city, but in the whole country. These 8,000 warriors stretch across 20,000 square meters, and hold around 30,000 weapons in their detailed possession. They’re a really magical sight.
