Spectacular nights out

Cyprus enjoys catering to tourists. If you’re looking for a night out, many of the popular resorts such as Paphos and Larnaca boast delicious restaurants, taverns, cafes and bars. There will always be something to do whether you’re on a romantic holiday with the significant other or a family holiday with the kids. If you’re in Paphos make sure you check out the Robin Hood Bar; it looks like a medieval castle in the middle of the bustling streets of Paphos – if you miss it go to Specsaver!

If you prefer to spend your days filling in the blanks of your previous night out, then you couldn’t exactly pinpoint a better night out in Europe than Ayia Napa. Ever since that one hit wonder DJ Pied Piper declared, ‘BO AYIA NAPA!’ it has grown into an established nightlife resort that rivals Ibiza.

Hidden Gems

The beauty of the island of Aphrodite, is that in between the tourism and nightlife you are very likely to stumble upon an ancient historical site steeped in culture. In amongst the groups of giggling girls and karaoke bars lay hundreds of castles and temples that you can explore for no charge. So when you’re in your resort, and want to do something other than relax on the beautiful beaches, take a walk and see what era you end up in.

How’s the shopping?

Leave behind your typical British etiquette and be prepared to haggle your heart out at the local markets! You’ll still be able to find a few home comforts at the supermarket, at an elevated price of course, so think carefully about how much you really miss your marmite or Oreos!

Food glorious food…

Cyprus isn’t short of restaurants, so whatever you’re looking for you can probably find it! Even better, meal prices are around 15% cheaper than they are in Britain.

The peak summer months are from May to October, but it’s warm enough to hit the beach from late February. Rainy season is in winter, otherwise rain is rare, although it’s still sunny and warm enough to swim. Autumn is popular with visitors wanting to enjoy the outdoors walking or cycling.
