Overview
Caribbean World Soma Bay Resort is a five-star deluxe beachfront property overlooking the crystal clear waters of the Red Sea in the Soma Bay area of Hurghada on the Egyptian coast. Apart from the attractions of the beach and the sea, the surrounding desert can be enjoyed by way of various safaris and short excursions and the Caribbean World Soma Bay Resort operates a shuttle service (three times a day with charge) to and from Hurghada city.
The resorts 520 guest rooms and suites have a Caribbean ambience, with marble and teak floors, and all offer spectacular views of the sea and sandy beach. All rooms are spacious and feature LCD satellite televisions, individually controlled air conditioning and a private balcony or terrace with sea, pool or garden views.
In addition to the fabulous beach in front of the Caribbean World Soma Bay Resort, the hotel also has three swimming pools (one of which is heated) and a children’s pool, a diving and a windsurfing centre, water sports, a children’s playground, a tennis court and numerous daytime activities such as beach volleyball, table tennis, football, basketball and darts.
The hotel’s Paradise Spa offers a wide variety of health and beauty treatments to aid your rest and relaxation including massages, aromatherapy, acupuncture, shiatsu, reflexology, mud therapy, Vichy showers, anti-cellulite and slimming programs and there is also a sauna, steam and Turkish baths, a Jacuzzi, indoor swimming pools, a fitness centre, manicures and pedicures and even a hairdressers.
This Egyptian resort is also family friendly, and while you enjoy the facilities listed above, kids can be entertained with a specially tailored programme to keep them busy and happy, day and night. For those with children not quite old enough to enjoy the entertainment there is also a babysitting service (dependant on availability) ensuring that everyone can get some precious time to themselves.
You will also find the hotel restaurants cater for younger guests with children’s menus, early meal times and high chairs. The extensive all inclusive programme at the Caribbean World Soma Bay has something for everyone at all times of the day. With grilled meats and fresh fish, to pasta and sandwiches, the emphasis is on quality and freshness whether you are getting dressed up for dinner, or just want a light snack or drink while lounging by the pool.
Eating and drinking
There are plenty of different options for wining and dining at the hotel including a main restaurant serving a variety of international cuisine, a grill restaurant close to the sea, a barbeque restaurant serving freshly charcoaled meat and fish and an Italian Restaurant (reservation required). There is also a snack bar, a lounge and disco bar, a cafe and shisha corner, a gazebo bar, a lobby bar and, in summer, a beach and disco bar. The hotel also offers specially adapted child menus, separate dining sections in the restaurants and high chairs ensuring kids are comfortable at any meal of the day.
The All Inclusive programme includes a welcome drink, full board buffet style (not all restaurants are included in the AI plan), tea time with cakes and snacks once a day, all local soft and alcoholic drinks (by glass) from 10am to midnight and ice cream for kids.
