Argentiere Holiday Information
Part of the Chamonix ski area, Argentiere is a great location for good intermediate and advanced skiers and boarders as the Grands Montets (3,295m) is known to offer the hardest off piste and black run skiing in Europe.
The ski resort of Argentiere is about 4 miles above the resort of Chamonix, shadowed by Mont Blanc and located at the base of the Grands Montets, the starting point for the cable car. For beginner skiers there are nursery slopes in les Chosalets an area of Argentiere as well as blue slopes in Marmottons and Arolles.
Not such a good location for après ski and non skiers, there is however a number of restaurants and bars in Argentiere, and a nightclub. But then skiers and snowboarders really are holidaying in Argentiere for the white stuff!
