Fun Ski Holidays in Chamonix
In sight of magnificent Mont Blanc and at the heart of the French Alps, the legendary resort of Chamonix boasts a magical landscape, awesome skiing, and a bustling, chic downtown. This is the most dramatic, buzzing and spectacular of all the resorts in the Alps. A place of great beauty and fun-packed, Chamonix is the ideal destination for your next holiday.
Explore Chamonix
Chamonix’s altitude of 3340m means that it can extend its ski season longer than many other Alpine resorts, so you can enjoy the slopes from December to May. It’s a great place to learn how to ski from scratch, with a good ski school, and after you’ve graduated from the nursery slopes, you can try one of the 7 beginner runs. But for intermediate and advanced skiers, the skiing is breathtaking.
Probably the most exciting run is the extraordinary slope from the summit of Aiguille du Midi, where you will follow a vertical drop of 3,000m as you descend right into the heart of Chamonix itself. As the venue of the very first Winter Olympics back in 1924, it has a long history of winter sport activities, and sleighing, ice diving, snow-mountain biking, and rock climbing and rafting are all on offer. With all this, and its truly spectacular location, Chamonix is the ideal destination for your next holiday.
Relax in Chamonix
The resort of Chamonix boasts great après-ski, and with its medieval Old Town and pretty streets, you’ll love discovering its amazing restaurants and bars. Probably the most spectacular is the restaurant at the top of the Brevent cable-car ride, with its panoramic views facing Mont Blanc – an extraordinary dining experience. And of course as a legendary resort, its nightlife is the best in the Alps. You’re sure to have a fun-packed time in this amazing Alpine retreat.
