- The Richard Wagner Festival is the highlight of the Bayreuth and attracts lots of visitors each year. The festival sees performances of the operas by Richard Wagner, a 19th Century German composer.
- Designed by Giuseppe Galli Bibiena and son Carlo from Italy, the Margravial Opera House is another musical destination that Bayreuth has to offer. The Margravial Opera House was the largest in Germany until 1871.
- The home of the city’s most famous residence, Margrave Friedrich and his wife Wilhelmine, the New Palace was designed and built by French builder Joseph Saint-Pierre and was completed in 1754. Buying entrance tickets to the New Palace also allows entrance to the two museums that can be found inside, porcelain manufactured in Beyreuth in the 18th Century can be found on display inside.
