The design of the air-conditioned hotel has been inspired by the ambience of French Provence. Opened in 2006, the hotel comprises a total of 54 rooms spread over 3 floors. There is a lobby with a 24-hour reception desk, a safe, a currency exchange counter and a lift. Additional facilities at this city hotel include a bar, a small supermarket, a breakfast room, a WLAN Internet access and a restaurant. Guests can also take advantage of the hotel's laundry services. The hotel is situated on a quiet side street in the west of the city, only 50 metres away from the world-famous Kurfürstendamm. Sights of interest such as the Kaiser Wilhelm memorial church and the new synagogue, as well as KaDeWe department shop, boutiques, art galleries, restaurants, bars and discos are all within walking distance. The hotel enjoys good connections to the public transport network, thus providing easy access to Alexanderplatz with the TV tower as well as Friedrichstraße. Zoologischer Garten train station may be reached on foot or by bus. Public transport links also enable guests to reach the Brandenburg Gate, the parliament building, Potsdamer Platz, the Sony Center, the Holocaust memorial, Hackescher Markt and the Museum Island within 30 minutes. The city of Potsdam can be reached by car in about 40 minutes. Tempelhof airport is around 6 km away, Schönefeld is 23 km away and Tegel airport is 9 km from the hotel.
