• The German Leather Museum is one of the largest leather museums in the world, situated in the city of Offenbach am Main. Some exhibits are thought to be more than three millennia old.
• The nature conservation areas of Heusenstamm. Also known as Stadt im Grunen ("Town in the Green"), it has both dense woodland and major conservation, where the twitchers can spot some rare species of bird.
• The pools of Oberthausen, where you can find the monte mare outdoor swimming pool, leisure pool and sauna; or the Waldschwimmbad, a "forest swimming pool" and sport centre. Great fun for those with an active family.
