The pretty resort of Messonghi sits on the south east coast of Corfu in Greece. Holidaymakers are treated to a long sandy beach and clean waters on a beach holiday in Messonghi. It is a good distance from the main road and traffic, which is ideal for families and there are shallow water spots where children can splash and paddle till their hearts content. The active types are also catered for, with a range of water sport activities on offer such as water skiing, windsurfing, surfing, scuba diving, jet skiing and snorkeling.
Take the opportunity to explore, why not head over to the neighbouring resort of Moraitika, stroll up to the original village of Ano Moraitika and walk through the narrow lanes to admire the traditional buildings and the views. Take a trip to see other traditional villages, such as Agios Dimitrois and Hlonamtiana. If you want to venture a bit further on your holiday, Messonghi offers boat trip excursions to Corfu Town where you can admire the Venetian architecture, hit the shops for a bit of retail therapy or visit some of the archaeological sites there.
If you’re on a family holiday, then book a trip to the Aqualand water park in Ioannis Aghios where there are a number of great rides and chutes for the kids to enjoy.
