Head to the long sand and shingle beach on your beach holiday, pick that perfect spot to put your sun bed and relax in the warm sunshine. With warm and shallow waters you have the peace of mind that the children can safely swim and paddle in the sea whilst you catch those all-important rays. Why not try your hand at some of the water sport activities such as windsurfing, snorkeling, jet skiing and water skiing. Or for those of you who want to learn how to dive, head to the dive centre and explore the seabed on your beach holiday in Moraitika.
Take a walk up the hill and see the original village of Ano Moraitika, walk through the narrow streets and check out the views of the bay below. Why not head to the neighbouring resort of Messonghi or hop on a bus to Benitses. If you want a taste of history on your holiday, Moraitika is home to the remains of a Roman baths or why not take a trip to the Achillion Palace in Gastouri – you won’t be disappointed. For a great cultural experience, book a boat trip to Corfu Town where you can shop till you drop, visit some of the archaeological sites there or simply admire the Venetian architecture.
A family holiday in Moraitika would not be complete without a visit to Aqualand Water Park, which will surely keep the kids busy all day. If that’s not enough, then take them go-karting or on a glass-bottomed boat. You could take a boat trip around the island and learn about the legends of Corfu and see some of the great sites. In the evening you could head to a local taverna or restaurant then hit the bar and nightclubs for a lively evening out.
For a cheap holiday in Moraitika, lowcostholidays offers a range of cheap flights and accommodation to plan your perfect summer holiday this year.
