Overview

The Cretan Filoxenia Beach Hotel is directly on the beach in the quiet village of Analipsis, 12 miles east of the city of Iraklion and three miles west of Hersonissos. Analipsis is small village with an excellent sandy beach and plenty of sport activities including jet skiing, windsurfing, beach tennis and beach volleyball. Shops, restaurants, cafes and bars can be found on the attractive Analipsis waterfront.

The Filoxenia Beach Hotel has 65 comfortable guestrooms, all of which are air conditioned, have satellite TV and a balcony or terrace. At the hotel reception guests will find an internet corner and currency exchange facilities. You can sample typical Greek cuisine at the Filoxenia Beach Hotel’s restaurant and relax with a drink or two in the bar.

During the day you can laze on the terraces around the pool (which are furnished with free loungers and parasols) or head onto the pebble and sand beach where there are chairs and parasols to hire, a diving school and plenty of water sports. Younger visitors will love the children’s pool, outdoor playground and indoor play area.

Swimming pools

The Cretan Filoxenia has a swimming pool and a children’s pool. Surrounding the pools is a spacious terrace furnished with free loungers and parasols.

Eating and drinking

The hotel has a restaurant serving buffet style breakfast, lunch and dinner and there is also a hotel bar.

The hotel operates an all inclusive option which includes full board in the main restaurant with American style breakfasts from 7.30am to 10am, lunch from 12.30pm to 2pm accompanied by soft drinks, local draught beer and local wine and dinner from 6.30pm to 9.30pm, also with soft drinks, local wine and beer. Early breakfasts and a lunch basket can be arranged at reception before 8pm one day in advance. The pool bar opens for drinks and snacks (sandwiches from 11am to 4pm) between 10am and 6pm whilst the main bar opens at 6pm and closes at 1am (although the all inclusive service only runs till 11pm and after this time drinks are chargeable). Filter coffee, tea and a variety of biscuits are available between 4pm and 5pm and there is ice cream for children from midday to 3.30pm. Drinks available at the bar include soft drinks, local draught beer, local wine, ouzo, raki and local brandy. Drinks in the bar after 11pm are normal price and brand name and premium drinks, imported beer, fresh juices, packed ice cream, espresso, cappuccino, bottled wine, canned drinks and champagne are not included in the all inclusive package.
