Holiday in Bali

Bali Holiday Information

Not to be confused with the Indonesian island, Bali is a cluster of villages snuggled alongside a curving peninsula in between Heraklion and Rethymnon. It is characterised by a series of little coves running along the seafront that have breathtaking views of the inland mountains, and will leave you with unforgettable memories of Crete.

Beach holiday in Bali

The village is characterised by picturesque little harbours, traditional tavernas running on the waterside and a unique and colourful landscape where the warm aquamarine waters are set beside high rising hills and valleys. The beaches are all perfect for swimming since they are protected from the north western winds, with Paradise Beach being especially seductive. However, if you are hungry for a more recreational experience, there are many water-sports on offer, such as windsurfing, canoeing or snorkelling! For a more relaxed activity, you can also hire out a water-bike and go peddling around the bay! Whatever you are looking for, Bali promises to deliver an experience that will leave you with a sweet taste of Crete.

Explore Bali

Around Bali there are a few archaeological sites that are worthy of attention if you are willing to wander uphill! The convent of Agios Ioannis Prodromos, which is still inhabited by nuns, offers fascinating examples of frescoes and woodworking. From there, you can continue walking to the mountain village of Margarites and visit the Melidoni Cave. Then as you head back to town, you can rest your feet for a while in one of the cosy clubs in Bali, or keep them moving on the dancefloor! The Highway Club and Volcano both offer lively evening entertainment for those not wanting to go to sleep early!
