Hersonissos holidays

Hersonissos holidays uncovered - insider tips

Whether you’re after a holiday to Hersonissos that offers plenty of sun worshipping on the beach or an evening of late bars, pubs and nightclubs, lowcostholidays.com’s insider tips will help you discover your perfect holiday experience.

Spectacular nights out

You’re not going to get the hedonistic nightlife of Malia in Hersonissos, instead you will get a lively nightlife that caters for all ages. The harbour is where you will find most of the resort’s action has a good selection of bars, pubs, clubs and cafés. If you want a taste of the party lifestyle you could check out “Amnesia” or if you’re just after a late drink “Captain’s Bar” is a popular choice.

Hidden Gems

The Star Beach Water Park is a great day out and offers something for everyone with slides, swimming pools, dive centre, food, bars, DJs and excellent facilities. There are water sports on the beach, mini golf, bungee jumping and foam parties at nighttime. It’s also ideal for keeping cool during the summer – you may find yourself going at least once on your holidays!

How’s the shopping?

Air-conditioned shops make shopping in the heat a pleasant experience, especially if you’re shopping for leather or fur – something the Cretans make well and to a high standard. Just think of how cold you’ll be when you return to England and the fur shopping experience will seem so worth it in the heat. Or why not check out the gold, silver and jewelry.

Where can I get a burger?

It is worth trying the local cuisine when you’re on holiday in Hersonissos; Greek salads and locally caught fish dishes are to die for. If you’re not in to eating the local dishes, there are plenty of restaurants that serve international food from French to Chinese food. You can eat on a budget in Hersonissos, a meal without drinks start at around 7 Euros upwards.
