Overview

The Petra Mare Hotel is situated on the south east coastline of Crete, next to the small town of Ierapetra. Ierapetra is approximately 20 miles from Agios Nikolaos and has a selection of shops, bars and restaurants as well as a Venetian castle and a Turkish mosque. The centre of Ierapetra is a fifteen minute walk from the Petra Mare Hotel.

The hotel itself has 227 guestrooms spread across five floors. All rooms are air conditioned and have a balcony, most have a sea view. In addition to comfortable spacious rooms the Petra Mare Hotel Crete its own water park which has a large pool, a lazy river, water falls and slides suitable for both adults and children.

The hotel also has a gym, sauna and Jacuzzi and there is a hair and beauty salon. You can find holiday essentials in the hotel mini market and there is a gold shop where you can purchase a special reminder of your holiday. Breakfast and dinner can be enjoyed buffet style in the restaurant and there are also two taverns and two bars for your convenience.

To entertain younger visitors there is a playground and you can play table tennis and billiards onsite. Just a short distance from the hotel there are tennis courts and for cooler days there is an indoor pool. Entertainment is varied with a different programme of events daily including games, competitions, shows and dancing.

On the nearby sandy beach you can find sun umbrellas, lazy chairs and water sports including canoes, windsurfing and pedaloes. There is also a diving centre for those in search of a little adventure.
