The nearby Potamaki beach is a unique sight for being a haven for the rare loggerhead turtles, due to which has been declared a conservation area. However special night-time ‘turtle watches’ are often organised for those who wish to view the turtles without spoiling their habitat. The town itself consists of a few shops and charming selection of restaurants and tavernas that offer local specialities and fresh sea food choices; or if you wish to explore outside of the town then there are a few historic sites of Roman ruins well worth a visit such as a 7th century BC Temple of Apollo just a mile away.

The hotel features a large outdoor swimming pool surrounded by a terrace with loungers and parasols and there is also a smaller pool for children next to it.
