- You can visit the ancient temples of Kahjuraho in Jabalpur, which are famous historic sites open to the public or the Kalchuri Archaeological remains. The superb Bandhavgarh Fort dominates the hilled area of the park, which was built in the 14th century to protect the lands. It is an historic place of interest and information about the fort’s history can be found at its site, along with a number of caves.
- Enjoy a fantastic jeep or elephant safari. Jeep safaris are guided by a forest department guide and take place all day, starting early in the morning. Elephant safaris are organised for tiger tracking early in the morning and are a great way to explore this stunning park.

- Bandhavgarh has the highest population of Bengal tigers in the world and this is the biggest draw for tourists to the region; however it is also home to the elusive white tiger, as well as elephants, leopards and other wildlife. The first white tiger to be captured was captured here. Before becoming a national park, Bandhavgarh was a game preserve of the Maharaja. Since 1968, it became a national park. Project Tiger started in 1972, to protect the endangered tigers.
- The caves in the region date back to the first century and evidence of the local wildlife population can be seen in the cave paintings. The largest cave, Badi gufa dates back to the 10th century.
