- TilwaraGhat is where Mahatma Gandhi’s ashes were immersed in the Narmada River by some of India’s leaders, marking the ideological leader’s passing.
Rani Durgavati Memorial and Museum is a place of interest in Jabalpur, and dedicated to the Gond Queen Durgavati. It is home to a number of sculptures, inscriptions and historic relics.
- Snooker was famously invented in Jabalpur, as a variation on the game of billiards. It was the brainchild of Colonel Sir Neville Chamberlain in Jabalpur in 1875 and the area is still known for its snooker today!
- The Bandhavagarh National Park is close to Jabalpur and is home to some fantastic species of animal, including elephants, deer and tigers. It is even said the elusive white tiger lives in the national park.
