  • Jubilee Park was a gift from Tata Steel to the people of Jamshedpur. Close to hills and forest ranges, it is a marked contrast to the city’s heavily industrial feel. If you’re in Jamshedpur in early March, you may even see its light display, which marks the day on which it was founded.
  • Dimna Lake is famous for its water sports, particularly jet skiing, rowing and water scooting, while Dalma Hills are famous for their wild elephants. You can also trek and climb in this region, making it ideal if you enjoy outdoor and sporting activities.
  • Tata Steel Zoo was opened in 1994 and is still a major tourist attraction in Jamshedpur. It was created to provide a home and natural environment where animals could live in safety. Home to large conservation projects, education and research, a number of rare and endangered species are kept in captivity here.
  • The Jubilee Nicco Amusement Park is a great place for children to visit. Offering a wide range of rides and activities, it was a gift from the city to the children of Jamshedpur and is also now open to tourists.
  • Chandil Dam is surrounded by some of the most beautiful landscapes in the area and the dam is one of the most visited attractions near to Jamshedpur. It is a popular way to spend a quiet afternoon with the family while watching the majestic waters flowing purposefully through the dam – a mark of how mankind has harnessed the power of water. For another quiet day, away from it all, the town of Ghatshila is famous for its scenic beauty and, at just 40km from Jamshedpur, makes a great day out for the whole family.
  • Comprising of the traditional Bihar and Bengal cuisines, Jamshedpur offers visitors a great deal of choice when it comes to food. One of the local cuisines is sattu- a powder mixed with spices and onion to flavour potatoes and vegetables.
