Tirupati is a town in Andhra Pradesh, southern India. It is situated in the foothills of the Tirumala hills, and overlooked by the famous Sri Venkateswara Temple, perched on the hills above.

    • The beautiful Tirumala hills are an incredible sight. The temple is located on its seventh hill, and is a special and spiritual place in the Hindu faith. Around 50,000 Hindus come to Tirupati every day to worship at the temple.
    • The temple of Venkateswara is Tirupati’s biggest attraction. Visitors from all over the world come to see it, and to visit the town’s shrines and sacred rivers. It is an ancient and holy temple and as such, travellers are asked to be respectful at all times; wearing appropriate clothing and not consuming meat or alcohol.
