If you want to head further out of the city, see the Kallani Dam, built over the River Cauvery. - Trichy's climate varies hugely throughout the year, but for the driest months head there from January to March. Otherwise, even though the aummer months are the hottest, they also promise a lot of rain, so be prepared.
