Magical Mauritius

Set in the Indian Ocean, the idyllic island of Mauritius is the perfect place for a getaway, with its warm, blue waters and golden sands easing you into its tranquil atmosphere.

Of course, the near-perfect climate makes the beach a popular place to go during all Mauritius holidays. The coast here is simply mesmerising, boasting soft sands and calm waters that ensure 100% relaxation. For all its sunbathing opportunities, however, Mauritius doesn’t scrimp on astounding activities that’ll have you creating memories to last a lifetime. From deep sea fishing and dolphin watching to enjoying a Blue Safari Submarine ride to witness the majesty of the island’s marine life, holidays to Mauritius provide endless fun.

Island Paradise

From 3-star simplicity to 5-star luxury, holidays in Mauritius are all about picking the dream hotel that fits you and your needs. From elegant rooms overlooking the Indian Ocean to spas, golf courses and plunge pools, there’s a whole host of hotels for you to choose from.

If you want the best of both worlds, head to the capital Port Louis, boasting a little more hustle and bustle, while still affording great vistas across the sparkling waters. If cool, calm and collected is more your style, Poste Lafayette has you written all over it. Serene and undisturbed, this is the place to be if you want to leave all your everyday stresses behind.

Relax and Explore

Mauritius holidays provide endless attractions for those who love inescapably breath-taking views, the softest of white sands and the bluest of incandescent waters. Perfect for couples looking for something extra special or families who are looking to please mum and dad, as well as the little ones, this island has a whole lot of love to give.

Regarded as one of the Indian Ocean’s top culinary destinations, holidays to Mauritius offer a plethora of restaurants serving all your favourite local and international dishes. Boasting the odd celebrity chef and even a few Michelin stars, you’ve got the pick of intricate fine-dining to grab-and-go grub on the beach. Follow up a rather mouth-watering meal with a boogie and a drink at one of the island’s most loved hotspots – Grand Baie in particular is the island’s go to area for evening entertainment, boasting mega clubs, international DJs and full moon parties.

When you decide to pull yourself from the island’s breathtaking shores, make the most of the range of exciting attractions and activities on offer. Flic en Flac to the east is home to the island's largest open-air market, providing the perfect opportunity to hone your haggling skills.

Alternatively, simply settle yourself down on the beach and maybe dabble in one of the many water-sports on offer. From scuba diving, water-skiing, parasailing and swimming, the Indian Ocean is a water sport lovers’ paradise.

Deep Sea Fishing

It’d be a crime to not get involved in a spot of deep sea fishing whilst on holiday in Mauritius considering the beautiful seas that surround the island. This can be as extreme or as relaxing as you like – either on boat with a chilled bottle of beer or really going for it to get the best catch of the day. Le Morne is one of the best locations for deep sea fishing as well as Trou aux Biches in the North of the island.

Swimming with Dolphins

There are several areas where dolphins have chosen the seas as their natural habitat so you’ll be sure to encounter these amazing creatures. Tamarin Bay is the perfect location for a spot of dolphin swimming and you’ll be able to see them in the morning or late afternoon.

Safari

There are a couple of different locations in Mauritius to go to if you fancy a safari. The Mauritius Safari and Bird Park is a great trip for young and old alike – a mixture of a zoo, sanctuary park and a real life safari in Yemen Natural Reserve park where you’ll find animals in their natural habitat.
