Things to do in Bali

Lowcostholidays.com has some useful tips on what to see and do on your holiday to the fabulous island of Bali.

Bali beaches:

  • Bali has a whole range of fantastic beaches from soft white sand on the east to black volcanic on the west. Bali beaches offer action packed or laid back and relaxed.
  • The busiest and most popular also reputed as a party beach is Kuta, wind surfing is the main attraction here but you can try other water sports such as wake-boarding or visit the nearby water park for slides and rides. If your looking to relax and unwind enjoy a massage or pedicure on the beach by day and get ready to party at sunset.
  • Legian beach is another favourite party beach, it's less crowded than Kuta but still offers everything you would expect in the way of facilities, water-sports, shops and vendors that wander up and down the beach selling refreshments.
  • For snorkeling Sanur in the south east is perfect, surrounded by a coral reef there is plenty of marine life to see. If you don't want to snorkel the glass bottom boat is a great way to see the underwater delights without getting wet.
  • For peace and tranquility Jimbaran beach is the place to be - it's the perfect setting for a relaxing day on the beach and as the sun starts to set, candle lit tables and musicians playing soft music add to the special atmosphere.

Bali activities:

  • One of the biggest attractions in Bali is the variety of water sports on offer and the huge roller waves that entice surfers from all over the world to come and test their skill.
  • When it comes to ball sports Bali holidays offer golf, tennis, squash and bach football.
  • For the adventurous try white water rafting, bungy jumping and sling shots for an adrenaline rush.

-If you like nature and animals you will love the safari park and the botanical gardens. Go horseback riding along deserted beaches and through rice fields is a wonderful way to see the surrounding area.

  • With a fabulous range of spa hotels on the island it would be a shame not to have at least one day of pampering.
  • Enjoy a relaxing cruise and visit the nearby islands of Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan.
  • Visit the volcano at mount Batur it's a spectacular sight.

Bali nightlife:

  • Most of the action is in Kuta and Legian where you will find everything from open air bars playing loud music to intimate restaurants and Hard Rock Cafe.
  • If your idea of an evening out is great food and drinks in trendy bars and restaurants in stunning locations then look out for Hu'u Lounge, La Lucciola and The Living Room.
  • Enjoy incredible sunsets, early evening cocktails and fabulous food at Ku De Ta a fantastic up market beach bar/restaurant.
  • A dinner cruise is a great way to spend an evening in Bali and enjoy live entertainment and buffet style food.

Other popular attractions on holidays in Bali:

  • Learn the art of meditation and yoga, take part in a short cookery course and paint a pot are just some of the classes and workshops available in Bali.
  • The remarkable town of Ubid is a must and fantastic for shopping, in particular wood carvings, artwork and silver crafts.
  • The elephant park is another popular attraction in Bali.
