Explore Sanur Beach

Sanur beach is a beautiful coastal haven, known for its flat white sand beaches, calm waters and inspiring vistas. It’s a beautiful place to explore with great natural attractions, restaurants, modern entertainment and a good selection of water sports. Sanur beach is also home to several resorts and some of the finest beach side hotels in Indonesia.

Why a Sanur Beach Holiday?

  • The waters at Sanur beach are much calmer than many around the island, making it a perfect location for families and children. The beaches are also much less crowded, meaning it’s a lovely location to relax.
  • The area is culturally diverse and offers an excting and interesting walking route which is littered with museums, galleries and temples amongst a backdrop of pristine white sand beaches, calm azure waters and unspoiled greenery.
  • There are some great watersports on offer at Sanur beach including kite surfing, wake boarding and paragliding. The surfing is not one of the best spots on the island but makes for a great first time experience - perfect for young beginners. There are also many diving schools offering PADI courses for beginners and a selection of great trips around the whole island.
  • Head to Padang Galak beach for somthing a little different. Each year in July the beach plays host to the annual international kite festival where hundreds of Balinese natives gather to send a message to the Hindu gods to create productive crops and harvests for the coming year. This is a great event, where giant kites of 10 metres in length are made and flown by villages from all around Bali.
  • Grab a bargain at the art market, often referred to as Sindhu Market where you will find a varied selection of local handicrafts and beach themed accessories. The night markets around Sanur are also worth a visit and are well known for having a great selection of some amazing local foods.
  • Take a day trip to Serangan “turtle” island, where you can visit the The Turtle Conservation and education centre - a perfect day trip for all the family. If you would like to explore more of Bali then Gianyar offers easy access to some of the most stunning countryside on the island.
