The island of Sulawesi is split into four distinct regions, Northern, Central, South Eastern and Southern and each of the regions has its own diverse culture and specific attractions. Manado is situated in the northern region which is known for its beautiful natural jungle and rainforest. The park consists of large swathes of rainforest and is famous for its many species of macaques as well as the Spectral Tarsier, which is one of the rarest and most endangered animals on the planet.
• Sulawesi is best known for its diving hotspots and its clear, clean waters that are perfect for viewing the spectacular array of marine life. Close by; Bunaken National Marine Park, the most famous diving region in Indonesia. The marine park is home to a huge amount of spectacular fish and marine life as well as a large number of endangered marine species.
