• Pompeii is a unique sight not to be missed. This thriving town was destroyed in 79 AD by the eruption of the volcano Vesuvius. It was preserved by lava and a blanket of ash and excavations have been going on since the 1700’s. It is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
• The lively city of Naples is filled with arts, theatre, culture and history. Soak up the atmosphere by having a drink or coffee in one of the many squares found amongst the narrow lanes, boutique shops and old churches.
• Vesuvius is one of Europe’s most interesting natural phenomenon’s, as the continent’s only active volcano. You can take organised tours to the top but remember that it is a steep climb to the edge.
