The Parco Naturale Regionale Migliarino-San Rossore-Massaciuccoil includes most of the public beach in Viareggio. Part of the Versilia Riviera, Viareggio is actually on the Ligurian Sea although better known to face the Tyrrhenian Sea.
The wide sandy beaches in Forte dei Marmi are well groomed with painted cafes and plenty of beach facilities including sunbeds and umbrellas.
