This small 5-star historical boutique hotel is situated on the Giudecca Island just a short boat ride from St. Mark's Square. The hotel is located in the Giudecca Island in the south of Venice. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle boat between the Bauer properties in Venice (available 10am ? 2pm & 5pm-midnight); it takes about 10 minutes to cross from Guidecca to the Bauer hotel in the heart of Venice, right on the Grand Canal next to the St Mark's Square. The nearest train station Venice Santa Lucia is 15min away and the Venice Marco Polo airport 30min away by water taxi.
The property is a beautiful Renaissance building, originally a convent, designed by Andrea Palladio in the 15th century.
The hotel presents a new luxury 450sqm spa (open 2007) which offers a variety of massages, body and beauty treatments and includes a large Jacuzzi, Turkish hamman and Vitalis Bath. It is recommended to book treatments in advance. The hotel also offers a gym.
Rooms are spacious and furnished in a traditional style with modern amenities. They are elegantly appointed and detailed with the finest paint decoration and tapestries. Bathrooms are large, marble and complete with bathrobes and slippers.
The Garden Restaurant offers fine dining from Thursday to Sunday (7-10pm) and light meals and snacks daily from 12am to 11pm, using fresh ingredience and seasonal flavours. Continental buffet breakfast is included. In summer months breakfast can be served outside in the courtyard.
