Location
Located in the heart of Venice, the hotel's main entrance is on Campo San Moisè, just a five-minute walk from St Mark's Square and the most elegant shops in Venice. The hotel also benefits from its own water dock in Rio di San Moisè, a small canal off Venice's Grand Canal, frequented by gondoliers throughout the summer. The deluxe Hotel Bauer offers its guests warm hospitality, impeccable service and a gentle atmosphere, which have long made this grand hotel in Venice a favourite among artists and royalty.
Rooms
The Bauer Hotel offers 91 spacious and luxurious guest rooms and 18 suites, all retaining a nostalgic charm, with beautiful early 40-50th century furnishing with lots of Venetian accents. All the rooms and suites are equipped with a king-size or twin beds, Italian marble bathrooms, hairdryers, minibars, individually controlled air conditioning, international direct dial telephone, satellite TV, PC outlet and walk-in closet.
Exterior
The hotel comprises of two buildings; one which is modern, with a slightly strange appearance, and the other building which is more traditional in its architecture, very much in keeping with the Venetian style.
Lobby
The reception and public areas are all in the new part of the hotel, they are elegantly and sumptuously furnished. The main lounge area consists of a large marble floor with a large rug, curtain drapes cover the walls and there is an intimate group of armchairs, surrounded by low coffee tables. The hotel features 7 meeting rooms, all fully airconditioned and benefiting from natural daylight. On site technical back up and translation services, as well as a business centre are available upon request. Our catering department can host banquets and receptions for up to 250 people. A unique, private terrace with breathtaking views of St Mark's basin can be used during the summer.
Restaurant
De Pisis Restaurant: Our gourmet restaurant, with its terrace overlooking the Grand Canal, is a destination for people of discerning taste and palate. In an exclusive setting, Chef Giovanni Ciresa offers an original cuisine based on international cooking and enriched by local Mediterranean traditions. Bar Lounge: Glamour style and impeccable service are what makes the B Bar Lounge the favourite of the last James Bond. From 6pm until 9pm daily, you can taste delicious cocktails and drinks, wines and the unfailing spritz (Venice's typical aperitif), with a buffet choice. Closed during the summer. Bar Canale: The ideal setting for a pre-lunch aperitif or after-dinner drink, offering a choice of creative light cuisine. Open during summer with live music in the evening.
