Walking and Hiking

Hiking is encouraged by the government in Lanzarote and they have put together a series of routes known as 'serendos', that show off the best off the islands beauty. You can pick up these up from the tourist office. They vary in difficulty and length, from a leisurely stroll to eight hour hikes.

Cycling

There are also cycling routes that are an excellent way of exploring the less touristy sides of the island. There are a wide variety of beaches in Lanzarote, ranging from golden sands with shallow slopes, ideal for a gentle paddle, to black volcanic beaches and rocky coastline, where you can snorkel and dive.
