The Girassol Hotel is situated close to the Lido area of Funchal which is just over a mile from the resort centre. The area has a shopping centre, restaurants, bars and a pleasant promenade where you can stroll towards Praia Formosa. The hotel has a total of 136 guestrooms of which 108 are suites which are ideal for families. All rooms have a balcony, cable television and a safe. Out in the Girassol Hotels subtropical gardens guests will find two large swimming pools (one of which is heated) and two separate pools for children. There is also a games room, golf practice nets, a putting green, a sauna, massage services, internet access and babysitting can be arranged.
