The nearby Hola beach is just 100 metres away and there are a number of shops, bars and restaurants in the village of Mellieha, 2.5 miles away. Regular boat trips and excursions are organised to the islands and the Blue Lagoon departing from the marina, which is situated across the pedestrian promenade in front of the resort during the summer months.

The village centre which comprises of a varied selection of shops, bars and restaurants, is only 200 metres away. Mellieha’s central street winds downhill to the bay which has shallow water and is well maintained, making it ideal for families with children.

Mellieha Bay also has one of Malta`s few sandy beaches and it is also the longest in Malta.

The Panorama Hotel is 300 metres from the centre of town and less than a mile from the beach. There are regular buses to other Malteses towns and villages and also to the beach. The hotel is not suitable for those with walking difficulties due to its location but will appeal for a family holiday in Malta as Mellieha is an attractive village and the bay has shallow water which is perfect for young children.
