The Real Playa del Carmen Hotel and Beach Club is a charming tropical village style resort situated in the centre of Playa del Carmen just a few steps from the resorts famous Fifth Avenue. The Real Playa del Carmen’s private beach club is just a quick complimentary shuttle ride away from the hotel (or an easy 10 minute walk) where kayaks and snorkeling equipment are provided for Real Playa guests.

Swimming pools

The hotel has a freshwater swimming pool set in an idyllic spot surrounded by palms and the lush, tropical gardens. Children have a special section of the pool reserved just for them. Guests can also walk or take the complimentary shuttle bus (every 30 minutes between 9am and 6pm) to the beach club. The beach club is within a cove, protected by a breakwater making for a beautiful, safe swimming area. Swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, scuba diving and jet-skiing all help to make Real Playa del Carmen a water sports lover’s dream.

Eating and drinking

The hotel has a wide variety of places to eat and drink including the Albatros Restaurant which features international cuisine, casual all day dining and delicious buffets and show cooking stations. The restaurant is open for breakfast from 7am to 11am, lunch from 1pm to 7pm and dinner between 7pm and 11pm. The bar in the restaurant opens between 11am and 11pm. The resorts second restaurant is Marias which offers a superb mixture of Mexican cuisine and Caribbean atmosphere. There is a full service bar with cocktails all served under the tropical, thatched roof of the restaurant, Sandals and T-shirts are not allowed and reservations are required. Marias Restaurant and Bar opens for dinner from 7pm to 11pm daily. Finally the resort has the Trade Winds beach club and snack bar which can be found at the beach club. Situated on the best beach in Playa del Carmen it offers a casual beachfront atmosphere and a full bar and snacks between 10am and 5pm. The resort also features a lobby bar open from 11am to 1am, a beach bar (in a poolside location by the beach) and a bar in each of the restaurants. The hotel offers an All Inclusive option which includes three full meals a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet service at the Albatros restaurant) plus all day snacks at the 24 Hour All-Inclusive Club (where you can enjoy self-serve snacks, an international open bar, table games, ping pong and pool all day and all night), festive theme nights and unlimited alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. AI guest can also enjoy a la carte dinner at Maria’s Mexican specialty restaurant, low calorie and vegetarian meals, unlimited international cocktails, house wine and beer from 11am to 11pm (bottles of wine and wine ordered by the glass from wine list available with additional charge), unlimited drinks, beer and soft drinks at the beach club from 10am to 5pm and at the lobby bar from 11am to 1am.
