If you want to get as close as possible to the Pre-Columbian Maya civilisation, then there are few better places to visit than the ancient Mayan city of Tulum, on the south east coast of Mexico. El Castillo, the Temple of the Frescoes, and the Temple of the Descending God, all in the historic core of Tulum, remain three of the most famous surviving Maya structures in the world.

You will also find many intriguing places to eat and drink during one of our holidays to Tulum. Charlie's restaurant, in the pueblo, serves delicious meals, while there are many deluxe beach cabañas on the road leading to Punta Allen. Speaking of the beach
