Beaches in Ixtapa:
- Ixtapa is located in the State of Guerrero, on the Pacific Coast in the area known as the Mexican Rivera, just 5 minutes drive from the fishing village of Zihuatanejo, 15 minutes drive from the endless virgin beaches of Troncones and about 30 minutes from the fabulous beaches and wildlife preserve lagoons at Barra de Potosi.

- If you’re looking to experience some diving & snorkelling activities, the waters off the coast of Ixtapa provide some of the best "Pacific" diving available. Here you can find everything from sea horses to manta rays, whale sharks, humpback whales, dolphins, and the occasional orca.
- If you love Yoga, one of North America's most respected yoga experts gives classes on nearby La Ropa Beach, Zihuatanejo.
Ixtapa Nightlife:
- There are plenty of good bars and clubs to visit on your holidays to Ixtapa, you can find Mexican-style all night partying and dancing that will keep anyone happy until the sun comes up. Nightclubs are a big part of the holiday scene in most Mexican Coastal resorts and Ixtapa is no exception. The nightclub scene starts at around midnight and ends when the sun rises!
- Many of the major Hotels host their own parties, which include dinner, dancing, a show and all drinks for a fixed fee.
Christine's is a state of the art disco is located next to the Hotel Krystal in Ixtapa, which is very popular with locals and visitors alike.
Alebrije is a high-tech disco in Ixtapa in a mock-up cave located in the aquatic park.
- Señor Frog's is a great club filled with disco music and a dance till you drop atmosphere.
Popular Attractions on Holidays to Ixtapa:
- There is plenty to do on your Ixtapa holidays, something for all the family, be it wandering around the town and taking in the local scenery, riding one of the many bicycle paths, taking a surf or taking the kids out for the day in the sunshine.
- Take the family to Magic World Aquatic Park, which has a number of different swimming pools, waterslides and a pirate ship, which makes it ideal for families with children.
- For those a little adventurous, visit the Parque Aventura in Ixtapa. Walk through trees with hanging bridges, lianas, foot bridges, zip-line, etc. Great adventure fun for all the family.
